After some identification help on a different thread, I went to the store today with the intention of returning my African Clawed Frog (ACF). The owner (who I actually respect the opinion of) ended up talking me into keeping the frog. He said that yes the frog is a predator but with the tank I have him in the other fish should be more then able to cohabitate. Mind you I have a 90 gal tank with 5 Silver Dollars (1 standard,2 red hooks, 2 black bars), and 1 gold Gourami (the big kind). I haven't finished stocking this tank yet, but with the "bullies" I already have I wouldn't get anything that was small or "frigile" in the future. He also said that the frog doesn't have any real "claws" or teeth so the chance of him hurting another fish is slim. He left off by saying that he would take the frog back at any time if I changed my mind or saw behavior I wasn't comfortable with.
So my question is...should I keep him? I have to say that I do like him..he's got a lot of character and is fun to watch. And I haven't seen him be aggressive with any fish. In fact I couldn't get him to eat his shrimp pellets quick enough and the other fish would go back into his hiding spot(s) and eat his food..even brushing their fins against him and all he'd do is crawl deeper into his hiding place (I did finally get him to eat today because I bought some blood worms in a vitamin gel that he couldn't resist).

So what do you all think?????

YA keep him. But if you see any agression when he's bigger bring him back.
And your fish aren't really small so they can stick up for themselves.

PS what do you mean when you say no real claws??

Man, I thought you meant "Aquaria Central Forums" by ACF. I was like, absolutely, don't dump it now after we got a stable site! LOL

i say keep him, if he gets too big and agressive, i dont think the pet store will mind taking it back, they can sell it for more money now!
