to many bubbles in my tank

Besides answers to the above 2 questions...

IF it’s foam floating at the top, you have too much organic stuff breaking down, i.e. dying plants or excessive food. (The foam itself is not harmful but an indicator that something might be amiss.) Do an extra water change/vacuum and feed your fish less from now on. If you have plants, be sure to remove dying/dead leaves.

i had that a couple of weeks ago,lot of bubbles that looked almost like foam.i did daily 25% waterchanges and it all cleared up.you might be putting to much food in the aquarium.i placed a new heater and a new rock from one of my other tanks.try the water changes and good luck.it took me about 4 days before the foam cleared up.

its a 10 gallons tank and it only has like 5 guppys 2 balas 1 plecu and 1 algae eater
I used to have a pair of turtles in the tank and the guppies and I was using reptisafe from zoomed for water coditioner and never has that problem. and the only plant i have its elodia but since I move to fish only, I got a bottle of cycle and a bottle of aqua plus 2 weeks ago, and I only feed my fishes 2 times a day and sometimes only 1 time whit bloodworms every other day .

so i only saw the difference when I started using aqua plus and cycle'cause they recomend to add cycle too in the weekly maintenance. so

im doing something wrong :(

Btw : Im planing to move all mi fishes to a biger tank that i got 40 gallon tank do you recomed to move some of the gravel from my 10 gallon tank to the bigger one to help it do the cycle ?

and let the 10 gallon tank for something else like quarentine or a different set up

Glad to hear that you are moving those fish. Too much for a 10 gallon. A quarentine tank is a good idea. When moving the fish I would also bring the whole small filter over with them and run it for awhile. That will help the cycle.

I think you are feeding too much for that tank. I generally feed my fish 5-6 times a week, no more than once a day. During a cycle the bacteria won't be able to keep up with the excess food you are adding.

Try doing some extra water changes and reduce your feeding to once a day max for the time being.

well iwiil do this tomorrow today im just going to put the tank in place and i will changing everything tomorrow to the new tank

i read a post in this same forum about to move the gravel and filter from one tank to another and save some time in the cycle procces and i will use some water of the same tank also

The water won't hold much in the way of bacteria. The good bacteria will be attached to surfaces and not free floating. But a little water may help the transistion a bit. good luck.

well i made a 50% water changue yesterday and there almost nothing of that foam and even one of the guppys gave like 30 more babys no downs yet and i will take them out to a 5 gallon tank that i have for them, and about the moving the fishes to a bigger aquarium well its on its way cause the tank its cycling right know but Im helping it whit some gravel from the acuarium and im planin to add a couple of guppys to help whit the bacteria build up

everything its going good and from now to 2 months ahead i hope to have a totally stablished tank
