I appreciate all the advice and I am not saying I am not listening and hearing everyone out I am trying to give some of them away and I am also trying to get a bigger tank and i dont think it is that cruel its not like they are starving for food or attention but i am doing my best...you wont hear from me anymore but thanks for the advice...good day to you all

thats good your giving some away, try to bring some to the LFS and get store credit. you don't need to leave just take what ever info you get and give or try to give you fish a better chance on living their full life spans. Learning is the only way anyone would know how to take care of their fish.

They are both fine treats but shouldn't be the staple of the diet. For cichlids, get cichlid food. It usually comes in sticks of flakes. Cichlids have special diet needs and shouldn't be fed goldfish food. Also the pleco (assuming that is what the sucker fish is) will need some bottom feeder food, probably algae tablets. You can also occasionally throw in a slice of zuccinhi for him.
I read in a book that you should feed ciclids a variety of food some pelets some flake etc..it said to switch it up now and then...anyway the biggest reason i got the shrimp is incase my fish have babies..just in case.. i fed my convicts feeding fish too and they liked it also i read that earthworms are good for them too what do you think
I would avoid feeder fish, unless you raise them yourself. They are often diseased and can cause a lot of harm. Plus a varied diet of flakes and pellets and shrimp is more than good enough. Live food can often increase aggression plus it makes your fish far messier and fouls your water quicker.
Also you said you had 2 africans in there as well?
Malawi Mbuna (probebly what they are).... are vegetarians and cannot live on a diet high in protien and will need to be fed different foods, such as spiraluna flakes. They will most definately get bloat or some other disease from the foods you are feeding to your convicts.
