To Much Excel?

If you use the exact dosage of Flourish Excel, but you only have a medium amount of plants, can the Excel build up in your tank and hurt your fish, or your plants? Or does it dissipate if it is not used?

I'm pretty sure it's only effective for 24 hours. After that, it breaks down.

Yep. And it would be pretty hard to overdose. I've done twice the recommended after water change dose daily for several months (weekly water changes) on a moderately planted tank with no ill effect on plants, inverts, or fish.

Good question... I've wondered the same thing. Thank goodness it breaks down...
