i have a yellow toad stool that isn't doing to well. A couple days ago it shriveled up and started to shed its skin. I've seen it do this before so i wasn't worried but the next day i discovered that my engineer gobys decided to bury it. So i scooped it out of the sand to put it up on a rock and found the stem is ripped almost in half Is this an injury that it can live through? Any advise would be helpful thanks in advance

The yellow toadstools are one of the toughest to keep. While it's not abnormal for it to retract and shed, it could be a sign of inadequate conditions (usually an inferior water flow issue IME) or it could be nothing at all and just part of it's normal cycle.
Now it's been traumatized by your gobies which certainly can't help. I would put it in a good spot where it's likely to be left alone and see how it does. It may bounce back, it may not. As a last resort, if it looks like you're going to loose it, hack the sucker up and try to get one of the frags to grow. HTH.
