I thought I'd start a thread to rant momentarily. Since I mentioned his stupidity in the war of the worlds thread, I thought I would finish it here :D Can you believe he was giving Brooke Shields a hard time for taking anti-depressants for post partum depression?!?!? Because I know that he has experienced childbirth and all of the emotion fluctuations that happen because of it. Or that he is saying there is no such thing as a chemical imbalance?!!?! That these people with mental disorders just need vitamins and exercise  !!! The story is that he has a new publicist, who lets him speak up now. The old one basically had him keep his mouth shut. And the scientology stuff is another story. I'll have to look into that and decide if these folks really are nutty, or if the news is just speaking about the weird aspects of those who follow it.......
Tom Cruise is suddenly an expert on ALL things medical, yet he never graduated from high school. He must have snuck in all that medical training right under our noses. Maybe between risky business and top gun.....

He should fire his new publicist. No wonder Nicole Kidman couldn't put up with him. ;)

I have bipolar disorder. Luckily enough for me, I can take Tegretol, Seroquel, Paxil and some other drug I am forgettng at the moment and be pretty stable. Oh, and did I mention I do exercise and take a multi-vitamin? Did I mention when I had the onset I was exercising... er, too much? Manic people tend to do things like that. So, yeah Tom Cruise is an idiot. But, if you put a microphone under my nose and started asking me questions about things I had an opinion on, I would be too.

Suddenly he's the worlds foremost expert on the history of psychiatry.

Heheeheheheee I'll give a chemical imbalance, throw him in a room with 100 women going through menopause and having massive hot flashes...........he'd learn real quick what a chemical imbalance is then ;)

Since there are new drugs on the market everyday, and you are supposed to ask your doctor if they're right for you (without even knowing what they are  ) I am pretty leary of prescription drugs myself. BUT there are many instances where they are necessary and can mean the difference between life and death. I hope he never gets some illness where medication is really the only option.... And I know for a fact that exercise and vitamins alone will not help me breathe when my asthma starts to bother me...

Oh well, I guess he is going to provide some good entertainment, at least until someone has the smarts to shut him up :D

LOL, yeah TC doesn't hang around enough women to claim that chemical imbalances don't exist ;) Also, exercise and vitamins did not help my husband with anxiety, he would seriously consider running over old ladys with the cart by the end of a frustrating grocery shopping trip :D

Lila did you know that they have discovered that there is actually a stage before pre-menopause, it's called peri-menopause, you start having mini surges at odd times and for no environmental reason or all of a sudden you have a massive mood swing and can't figure out what caused it and they may happen months apart so you don't notice the symptoms.........average age when they say it starts 35. :(
