Too full for more corys?

I am wondering if I shouldn't get another cory or two. I have two now, but in the last couple of months I have rarely seen them. They used to be quite active but recently I have added a couple of otos and 2 more glowlight tetras to the tank and I am wondering if maybe they are feeling outnumbered. My tank specs are in my signature - do you guys think I have room for another cory or two or am I full up?

Ammonia/nitrite/nitrate have all been very good. My pH tends to hover at 8.0 but doesn't fluctuate so I don't worry about that too much. The tank is a 20g high and does seem kind of crowded to me, but I am curious what others think.

Thanks!

1 extra cory shouldn't throw things too out of balance. But if you did get one then I suggest making sure you do at least 40% water changes weekly. Cories are pretty delicate when it comes to water conditions.

Panada's still gorw to be over an inch long. I would suggest adding another of the same type you already have. They seem to school better that way.

I see no reason why you couldn't add 3-4 more cories. They are great in groups, but as for the actually recommended amount in a tank, who knows. Different people have different opinions. None of which is scientific (to my knowledge).

I would say that the nine fish that cambro currently has constitutes a fairly light load, especially when factoring in the size of the fish. I don't see why he couldn't easily fit two more cories and maybe a couple of companions for his blue flame tetra's. I would get rid of the fruit loop tetra however. I believe that this is a variation of the black tetra, a known fin nipper, and adding enough of those to make up a school will overload the tank.
I do agree that you should keep the cories within the same species.
