This is my first tank with Mollies and now I have about 25 good sized molly fry all of which seem to be surviving well. Which leads me to my question. How many more full grown Mollies can my 20 gallon support? What should I do with my "surplus" fry? They are quite large and no one has taken an interest in eating them now that they are over bite size. Any good suggestions out there?

Can you sell to your LFS for credit/cash? Know anyone that would want some mollies?

When those mollies get to full size, 25 of them in a 20g isn't gonna work... What else is in the tank besides the fry? Do you have any other tanks that they could go into (ie ones with predators if you're so inclined)

Good luck!!

I have 1 zebra danio (used to have 2 but it "disappeared"), 2 swordtails, 3 adult mollies, 1 gold algae eater. I thought about giving some of the fry to my friend who has a couple Oscars. I just want to know how many of them I can keep.

You're pushing your tank towards being overstocked, i wouldnt keep too many fry at all. You could probably keep 15 mollies in a 20gal by themselves if you're lucky, but no more than 5(max) in a tank with all your other fish. Its gonna be a lot easier just to give them to your friend w/ the oscar or to your lfs.

I have a ZooMed Turtle Clean 318 Internal Filter. (I used to have a turtle before trying fish). It claims to be good for tank up to 30 gallons.

get something mean like an oscar or a marble goby or snakehead or something like that and then youll have no more fry to worry about

hahaha Just kidding I am just being sadistic.

Yeah the only real option is to take them to a pet store get a second tank or sadly do my joke.
