I got pretty lax in the maintenace before all my fish died and did not have cloudy water problems, got new fish (larger) and decieded that I was going to do it like your supposed too. All my water parameters are good now, but always have the cloudy water. I got the eheim 2217 about three months ago due to the good reviews. It is rated for 159 gallons and was described that it has an ungodly amount of area for bateria to grow for filtration. Is it possible that it is still undersized for a 125 gallon tank. I have thought about buying another but my water parameters are good so thought this may not be necessary. One other thought. Have quickly does de-clorinator work. I use a python system to due my water changes. When I refill it can the clorine in water have a chance to wipe out my biological filter? I have always added Stess tyme to the water after adding it. I read a lot of people add it before they add water. Would this make a difference? thank you
