I'd keep an eye on them for the moment. The clown is probably settling in, and will be more adventurous with time. As people above posted, there is a good chance of conflicts with the damsel, but it depends on the species as well.
As an editorial comment, it gets under my skin a little when people say that being members of the same family means the animals will behave the same. Would one have the same expectations of a Julidichromis as an oscar? Or a housecat and a tiger? Obviously, because they are grouped together, pomacentrids have biological similarities. When keeping them, though, it's important to recognize the differences.
