too much light bad for anubias?

+1 on only T5s for now. This happened to my giant anubias when I was running 4X54 T5 HO on my 72G bow, and most leaves turned like this, then I moved it to my 20G T with a 45 watt CF light on it, and pruned the bad leaves, and it looks much better now.

so you guys suggest i take out the 15w T8 and adjust the 2 x 24w T5s? its funny as the olders leaves seem to be slowly melting away or rotting but it shoots out a new leaf every 5 days

Well that alone could be part of the issue...plants, like fish, need a period of adjustment to get settled into the new conditions. I still would be cutting back on that lighting before you run into algae issues...

nope the rhizome is firm... and its tendrils or root looking things coming out from the rhizome is growing pretty fast

sounds more like and adjustment period. if you're getting new leafs with the new tendrils, just clip the old ones and wait for the plant to adjust. if not use your other plants to provide some shade for it to be on the safe side.
