8. Java fern - Gives the tank that aged look
9. Marimo balls - Goes well with just about anything
10. Riccia - Pain to keep, but beautiful when they pearl

my top 5 plant list

1. java fern(immortal)(easy to keep)( lots of aquascaping potential)(no hight light or c02 required)
2. marimo balls(out competes algea for nutrients so no algea problems)(always a conversation piece)(really neat looking)(shrimp love to preen them)(low light requirements)
3.anubias-barteri,var nana, mini, petite, whatever(easy to keep,no hight light or c02 needed)(hardy as this is also an amphibious plants like java fern but grows lowly in aquaria, is grown out of water before retail so it grows faster)(if kept in hight light tanks you will have problems with algea as they grow slowly)
4. riccia fluitans (is a good floting plant but can be tied down to make unbelivable aquascapes like takashi amano http://www.israquarium.co.il/PlantsPhoto/Riccia fluitans-decor.jpg here is an example)(great nitrate remover and infusoria producer for small fry)( grows like crazy in my tanks)(is very very very messy to work with)(great fry saver)
5 java moss ( grabs on to anything and can be usedd as live anchorage for riccia on driftwood)(good fry protection but riccia is better) (low light requirements) (very tough as it can be kept in brackish water)

i only made a top 5 sorrry. notice these are all low light plants except the riccia . these are really easy to keep so if you dont want to mess with c02 and those 4 wpg fixtures these are the plants for you. ferts are lways a good idea though.
