Top-feeding freshwater fish?

My boyfriend recently brought home this top feeder and I don't know what kind of fish it is. I can't find a list of top feeders anywhere. He's about 2.5 inches long, gray with yellow-green fins. Could anyone helppp?

sounds like he could be some kind of killifish... they have elongated bodies, with flat heads and upturned mouths.

Oh no! I wish he would have been told that when he bought them, I hate how they're so uninformative! There's just no hope for those neons, the newts ate 3 already. =[

It's your job to research a fish's needs before you buy. You can not rely on the information from sales people. Please keep this in mind for future purchases.
