Top Fin Aquariums

its kind of like how the local grocery store has pies in the bakery with their own name on it, but they're actually made by Cyrus O'Leary and shipped in unmarked trucks, lol. my husband used to work for cyrus o'leary and they made pies for all the local grocery stores, yokes, albertsons, tideymans, etc. and put the grocery stores name and lable on it.

Perfecto makes the hood and light, All-Glass makes the tank, and then Top Fin sells them. They probably have some type of contract with Perfecto and All-Glass. I think Marineland just has an advertising deal with Top Fin. That's just a guess though.

Thanks! Perfecto is a subsidiary of Marineland. Thats why it says Marineland all over them.

Actually, I have done some more investigation and my tanks are Perfecto tanks as well. They have the little Perfecto logo on the bottom. My tanks are recently purchased so I wonder if Petsmart switched who they OEM their tanks from.

Top Fin (perfecto) 55 gal

Hey, just thought I would throw in that I have a Petsmart Top Fin 55 gallon aquarium from 6 months ago. I am almost certain it is a Perfecto 55 gal, with black silicone and all. The glass also seems thinner than a 55 gal All Glass that I was looking at. No leaks, no problems...

I also bought a 28Gal bowfront from Petsmart yesterday. I am fairly certain it too is a Perfecto, based on the stickers on the bottom and on the middle brace of the tank (plus the fact that I think All Glass does not make a 28bow - just a 26). This time, the silicone is the clear stuff though. I got it as part of a "starter system" with a heater, filter, light, etc. Seems to be high quality.

Yes, I now have 7 tanks purchased from Petsmart over the last 6-8 months. All are Perfecto tanks. I have 2 10g, a 20g long, a 20g high, a 46g bowfront, a 55g and a 75g tank.

None of my tanks have sprung any leaks yet. The glass is not thick but overall I am pleased with the quality and construction of the tanks. Most of the tanks have glass tops which I vastly prefer over the plastic hoods.

I think that they are garbage. After setting it up I woke up at 3 in the morning to about 10 gallons of water because the bottom pane cracked. I replaced it with a Walmart Aquaculture kit and have had no problems.
