Anyone use or have tried this water conditioner? I just bought a bottle for about $5 and it treats 2400g. I've used Prime in the past, but conditioner is cheaper & treats more water.
I have used this product for about 6 months now. Seems to work great and no problems. Got to love the bang for buck aspect, 1ml for 10 gal is nice. Also it states right on the bottle "If you are not satisfied with this product, return it to the place of purchase for a refund." It also gives a 1-800-804-2059 for questions.
If it doesn't mention neutralizing ammonia it probably doesn't remove chloramine properly.
A normal chlorine remover will break chloramine, and release the ammonia part of chloramine into the water.
They can say it removes chloramine, because it does, but if it simply dumps the ammonia back into the tank it isn't helping you much.
Most of the $5-for-thousands-of-gallons don't do chloramine properly.
I use one of 'em, because i know that my local water is chlorine year round.
Yeah ^ regular chlorine coniditioner will 'remove' chloramine, but wont actually be good to use since it leaves behind ammonia. Saying it removes chloramines is often very deceptive.
