What can I add to the tank to use up some of the top half? My tetras always stay towards the bottom, and I'd like to even things out a bit. Any ideas?

Hatchet fish stay at the top. Do you want something strictly at the top or something to fill the mid-level and top?

Well, I guess either. I do plan on getting a dwarf gourami. I'm thinking he will take up some middle space. Is that right?

you could try an African butterflyfish....(not very active, but an awsome looking specie) or you can try a glass cat fish...mine stays towards the top of the tank.

I would HIGHLY reccomend 5 or so "Flying Barbs" Esomus danricus, they stay at the top of the water majority of the time and are very cool to watch, they are very fast, and their pectoral fins are like the SW flying fish how they are big and flat to glide. Usually mine are at the surface with their mouths at an angle like they are looking out of the water.

Ahhhh, so many fish.... so little tank space! :sad Thanks everyone! I will check all of these out!

rasboros will stay at the top...you could get a little school of about 4 or 5

Oh, I do like those, too! Decisions, decisions!
