I'm planning on getting a giant aquarium one day (when I buy a house - currently living in a condo). I know the myriad of benefits that plants provide, but I'm worried that the large fish that I will house will easily uproot the plants. What kind of plants should I get for a large aquarium? I.e. at least 200 gallons. Is this a serious worry?

Welcome to AC.:hi:

Please provide more details of the setup you want and the fish you wish to keep.:) There are large fish that will not bother the plants at all.

Like lupin said, what fish? some won't bother plants at all, some wil eat them, some cichlids will play tug of war and want to reaarange things, and others move around the substrate even if they don't bother the plant directly. While there might be measures you can take for substrate movers and plant pullers, plant eaters are going to go after anything green and tasty.
