This is a really random thought, but does anyone know if an animal rights organization got after the TLC show Trading Spaces for the way betta fish were used in some rooms? I haven't watched the show in a long time (and times I did see it I hadn't gotten into fishkeeping yet), but I remember seeing the lilly in a vase with betta setups used a couple times and some more rediculous setups a couple other times. My "favorite" (sarcastically) was incorporating a vase with a betta and lilly into a ceiling fan. The fish was suspended a good 7 feet off of the ground, about a foot from high wattage bulbs, attached to a fan that probably vibrated the poor thing something terrible when in operation. I remember the designers on the show always saying something along the lines of, "These are amazing little fish that will form a symbiotic relationship with the plant and never need maintenance." Any thoughts?

Pimp my ride put a gold fish in eash side of the back seat (where the arm rests are) and those tanks were about the size of a betta bowl.
