I have noticed that quite a few people here keep horses. I found these when I was out in New Mexico visiting my mom. I have since began collecting them and they are wonderful! Here is the website. If you love horses, you should check it out! Click on Official Store then Figurines to see what they are.

Thanks! Those are beautiful. I have not yet seen them before, I grew up with horses, and we still have 2 horses at my parents' house. We've been getting some picture frames whenever myself, my mom or my sister travel, but this is something we could just order from. I'll have to give the link to my mom and my sister also.

LOL, I'd seen them in my horsey catalogs for a few years now, but it
took my mom giving me one for my birthday last year to get me
started. I now have 25 of them--with each having a special meaning
for me! They're becoming highly collectable, as they are produced in
Limited Editions--you should see the prices on eBay alone!!! There's
a great book, and video, about the life-size originals and their artist-
creators. Raleigh NC did a series based on Wolves; when I was in
Zurich Switzerland @8 years ago, they had cows all over the city. There
are other locations around the US doing the same or similar things. If
you are further interested, you can check out eBay (sometimes great
prices) or find websites: www.trailofpaintedponies.com
Since my dodo brother threw out my 1960's collection
of Breyer's horses (major DOH!) I guess this filled the space!!

I love those dang horses! I bought incognito(the zebra) for myself as an early b-day present, then my mom sent me the lightning bolt colt for a birthday present. So far that is the extent of my collection, but oh how it will grow! You can find them in stores all over out west, but they dont sell them here and you have to buy them online. I have found that ebay doesnt sell them any cheaper than the actual retail from the official website. I'm glad I could turn you on to the painted ponies addiction Tricia! Happy Horesy Hunting!
Rosita, I would love to have a collection that big! I just wish I had known about them sooner. It stinks b/c quite a few very good ones are retired now and very hard to come by. I hope you have a few of those!

Jodi, actually I did get a couple--Rosie the Apparoosa (for my horse Rose), Wildfire (has some tiny chips at bottom but I don't care), and the Quarter Horse. Oh, and the Van Gogh, and Blue Medicine, and Love as Strong as a Horse--and a new but awesome, In Memory of Fallen Heroes. (it has hats from firemen, police, and another one, but I view it as military dudes, too) Kinda went on a binge!! LOL Hi, my name is Renee and I'm addicted to Trail of Painted Ponies. LOL

The ones I got all have special meaning; Golden Girl for my BB who died of "grey cancer" (Quarter Horse); Happy Trails for Li'l Sistah, who is a big, muscled QH I trained on the trails around here; Silver Lining (Pegasus) for the spirit of BB's baby I had to put down at 2 1/2 months (wah)-- can't afford them, but sometimes. . . . and www.toniscollectables.com--you can put them on layaway!!! Sorry I didn't see where you'd already put the tpp website. Another place with great prices: www.funtocollect.com.

ebay tends to be more $ unless you use alot of time, but some of the sellers really bulk their shipping rates. Just google!!!

It's so nice to find others as passionate about collecting these hunks of resin. I work in Burlington, NC, which prides itself on an early 20th c. Carousel in the main park. The city has commissioned local artists to "art up" plaster repros, life size carousel horses--pretty cool. Happy trails, Renee
