Transferring fish

ok, I am thinking of buying a better bigger tank (33g). Would trasferring the water into the other tank then filling the rest up with new water be too much on the fish?

Bob,
You will need to transfer some of the nitrification bacteria as well, in the form of filter media or substrate otherwise you will end up re-cycling the tank. As for the water you add as long as it's dechorinated etc and close in temp there will be no issue. HTH A bit..
