Hi,
I just noticed a transparent sack of transparent eggs on my glass and another smaller one on a plant..
I have a few tetra neons, a few harlequins and a few bloodfins, a cleaner and two yellow snails.

I've recently noticed that my aquarium is full of small parasite snails.

Can anyone please identify the eggs in the picture ?

I'm guessing they are the eggs from your 'parasite' snails. I purchased a plant that had 1 snail on it, but within a week I had snails and egg sacks everywhere that looked similar to that.

They can multiply very quickly.

either ramshorn or bladder snail eggs.

could you post a photo of your 'parasite snails'? (which actually aren't parasitic at all, just a darn nuisance! lol)

Looks kinda like the ones I call pond snails. They suck if you really don't need them to feed any of your fish, but if you do have fish that will eat them , they will thank you. Ilet them breed in one of my 10 gals with some rcs, and I feed them to my puffer fish. They aren't complaining....( the fish, anyway, lol)

bladder snails or pond snails. they reproduce like mad if you overfeed your tank.

crush the snails when you see them on the glass, your fish will most likely eat the remains. you can also use a piece of lettuce to manually remove them. weight the lettuce down in the tank with a fork when you turn the lights off and when you go to turn the lights back on you'll have a good number of snails munching on the lettuce. remove lettuce and toss. repeat as often as you want, until the snail population is where you want it.

I know that some find them unsightly, but they do offer a great benefit in the tank. Eat left over food, eat decaying plantmatter, etc...

If you want to get rid of them:
Remove the snail eggs from the tank when you see them. Avoid overfeeding to avoid overpopulation. They will only populate in mass if they have an abundant food source.

and don't let a single one of these snails get into your canister filters........ lol! this i know.
