Transporting a fish?

The fish is still lying on it's side or upside down and has started whirling in a circle in the last few days.

there is a parasite out there (can't remember the name of it) that causes 'whirling disease'.

is the cory by himself? i ask because the parasites that cause whirling disease will come out of the host fish upon its death and go looking for new hosts. you don't want any other fish getting infected.

i recently had a perugiae livebearer that was whirling for a couple of days and euthanized him before he passed away in the tank (didn't have a qt tank at the time). from what i have read there is no cure for whirling disease.

i hope what ails your cory isn't what i've explained above!

I thought whirling disease comes from a parasite found in Tubifex worms. I don't have any Tubifex worms. And yes, the fish is by itself.

Did you take the carbon out of your filter when you dosed the medicine?

Yes. It's a foam filter anyways so I didn't have to :) I force fed the fish some defrosted daphnia and brine shrimp yesterday. It's so tiny so I wasn't able to put the syringe tip into it's mouth but I think it may have swallowed some.

Well, all things must end. Your determination is admirable, but perhaps it's time to let this one swim on. All the medicines it is receiving for conditions that it does not have could be harming it.

I just have two more to try. TMP Sulfa and if that doesn't do it, Prazi-something or nother.
