Transporting a Large Glass Tank - Kindly help

I understand your reasoning for not having someone ride in the back, but when I had someone ride in the back of mine, it was that one person who saved my tank from going onto the road and becoming nothing.

If the tank is properly loaded and secured, having it fall out of the truck should not be a concern at all. I would not recommend having someone ride in the back with it for many reasons.

Most truck beds with an extended cab are still 6'-7" gate closed.

I just brought my 6' tank back from Glasscages in Dixon TN to Huntsville AL 3.5hrs in the truck, foam against the cab, carpet under the tank & some tie down straps without too much tension. it never moved an inch and I drove fast!

I bought some furniture dollies to sit it on while moving it around the house.
