Hi there.

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the DIY tank trim. The tank doesn't have any trim what so ever and I was thinking of adding some for the top and bottom.

Something relatively easy which doesn't have to be too fancy looking (wood), unless there isn't much work involved ;).

Thanks.

Depending on the size of the tank, just ripping a 1/8" piece of a 2X4 edge (so the piece would be 1 1/2" X 1/8") would be pretty close to factory edging. Stain it, poly it, silicone it on.
Anyone that has a table saw and some scrap would (provided it is long enough, wouldn't want to have a seem in it) would probably be able to do that for you...provided you didn't shave their cat or anything. :joke:

Didn't like that one huh?
Well, they make duck/duct tape in various colors!
Check out the local hardware store in the lumber section to see if they carry "edge banding". It's the super thin wood they use to cover the end grain of plywood/particle/fiber board.
HTH!
