Well I seem to have a good problem on my hands. All of my plants are growing incredibly big and fast! I think its time to trim some of my larger plants and move them into another tank but before I do that I have a question. How do I trim my Anubias Barteri Var. Barteri and my Red tiger lotus? My lotus has grown so much its taking over my tank and the anubias's rhizome keeps getting longer and wider to the point where it takes up a good portion of the bottom of my tank. Thanks for your help.

1. The anubias you can split the rhizome with a razor leaving at least 6 leaves per section.
2. The red tiger lotus bulb will split into other bulbs. If it has grow too big for your tank . Sell it. One trick is to trim all the leaves off that hit the surface. However, once it knows where the surface is, it will keep shooting for it. sell it to somebody with a pond.

A couple tricks with the Nymphea sp. is to plants it behind something say half the height of the tank so it overlooks that plant. Real cool affect.
Second. In a shorter tank, continually pinch off the half height stems right at the substrate and it keeps it bush like.

Thanks for the help! I have to go to the hardware store today so Ill pick up a razor blade. The lotus is in a 10 gallon and right now I would like to keep it so I think Ill just move the whole plant into a larger tank. How would I trim my Cryptocoryne wendtii? It doesn't need it yet but I would like to know for future reference.
