Triops as food.

Last I checked, triops were pretty dirty. They present a bit of a health hazard to people, too, in terms of harboring bacteria, etc. I wouldn't risk it, personally.

Sorry, but I feel kind of grossed out by this :lol2:
Aren't triops dinosaur-shrimps???!

Shrimp is a shrimp. All yummy, crunchy foods for a puffer.

I thought the conditions that were conducive for triops ended up making them a problem. I guess if you grow them differently than what the instructions say (which I've never tried), they could potentially be used. I've never tried and I would never try it with traditional growout conditions. That's me, though.

Edit: The last time I messed with these guys was when I was about 10, so take my memory with a grain of salt.

lol I was responding to Ampripions post about how human's shouldn't eat triops because they carry harmful bacteria?
lol

Just going off of the instructions I read years ago, lol. It's probably entirely different if they are raised in better conditions.
