Troubles with my Brigs

So, I got my 4 new Brigs last week and they were healthy, happy, beautiful, zooming all over the tank. Yesterday I noticed they hadn't moved much, so I just kept an eye on them (and 1 I can't locate). Today I did the sniff test on the 3 I can find - no one stunk, so I set them back in and put food next to them. 2 of the 3 had a little snack and then they wet to the back of the tank and partially buried themselves in the sand. The 3rd still hasn't moved, and the 4th is nowhere to be found (didn't come out when I put food out). It's a 20 gal and the params are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate, pH 8, and temp 79.5 F. Last water change Sunday - 50% - treated with Jungle Start Right for chlorine and metals. Tank mates - ~15 blue pearl shrimp, several ramshorns, and ~ 30 (most teeny tiny - 1-2 mm) MTS snails. There i are also quite a few live plants. Ideas???
 
Leeser, if I were you, just monitor them closely. If they have not changed much in the last few days, then that's the time I'd worry about them.

I've had new Briggs be kind of shy at the start too. They would bury themselves for a day or two and then all would be fine. They should be okay. Good luck with them. :)
 
Thanks. The first 3 I got a couple of months ago died, so I'm a little paranoid, not to mention I tend to be the worrying other type :)
 
I just got 2 gold mysteries from petsmart (had to they were the only ones I have ever seen that were bright and no shell damage) but they have been alittle lazy, with an occational trip around the tank but then they just sit for a while. guess they need to figure things out!
 
My two mystrys were affraid to do much of anything when I brought them home. They were being kept in a tank(20g?) with about 30, 3-4" assorted african cichlids at the store. All of them in the tank were closed up(of course).
I noticed them, because the tank was right below the one "plant" tank. I had to ask if they were alive.
All of that had more of me "saving" two, than actually, wanting them. I wouldn't have bothered with them, but, I was making a "snail" tank. So sure, save a life or two and have a couple of big snails.

I remember looking over at my tank about 10 minutes after putting them in. And seeing the bigger one digging a hole for himself.
They were both looking real skitish for a day or so. But, it wasn't long, that they were all stretched out and zooming across the tank at .090 MPH!
 
You have lowered your water level right? #4 may have left the tank. Check around if you haven't found it yet. Just to make sure on other fronts: No copper pipes, any meds in the tank used in the tank with copper in them?
 
Thanks, guys. The level is not particularly high, but I will look to be sure. The shrimp and other snails in the tank are fine. I was concerned about copper which is why I bought the Jungle conditioner - it takes are of the metal. I've had the tank for years and never used any meds in it.

I'm concerned because they started out so active and have really slowed down.
