I had to do a blackout on my tank about 2 – 3 weeks again. And after that I realized that my Sunset and Green Hygro has cupped leaves on the top. I figured it was from the blackout. But it’s been 2 – 3 weeks. Isn’t that a bit long for those plants not to recover?
I found from Chuck’s Planted aquaria, http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm, that it can be related to lack of Calcium. Does anyone know how to fix this? I thought there was always calcium in the water from water hardness.
The lower leaves seem to be a bit yellowish with some brown spots on it. So I’m still working on that. The Site states it’s from a lack Magnesium, but I’m adding a little bit of Epsom Salts (not sure on how much to dose) each day. I’m hoping that this will reverse the effects.
Anyways, I found Chuck’s site very helpful in regards to Troubleshooting. Does anyone know of any other sites that have similar information?
Thanks.
