Ever since Trout Season opened in New Jersey, I been fishing nearly everyday and I haven't gotten bored of it. I'm happy that I can get out of the house for hours and get fresh air. So far I have gotten 12 trout, 11 stocked and 1 native Brooke trout. I'll post pics once I can.

Which body of water did you catch the native Brookie in?

The Paulins Kill River is where I caught the native brooke. In the state, your only allowed to keep two Native Brooke Trout, any others have to be released. It's not really easy telling the difference in a stocked or native Brookies.

Oh, how I miss trout fishing - and fresh trout for breakfast, cooked over a campfire...........and home, lol.

Last time i went fishing and camping was many years ago back when I lived in CO. Miss them days just relaxing enjoying nature forgetting all your problems yea that was the life.

I go fishing nearly everyday. Going bass fishing on sunday, I release any bass I catch along with sunfish.

We have bass and bluegill in the front yard, lol - had catfish too but had a pond crash summer before last and frankly my husband has completely neglected the darn thing for so long now it's cattails all around (I *was* going to just go nuts on it myself this spring, but didn't get started soon enough and now we have a nesting pair of ducks using the pond/island in it so I don't want to disturb them....). Bass fishing is okay, but I miss walking the creeks back home in Idaho all summer long and fishing for trout, it's just more fun for me that way than being out on the boat in the lake all day with DH.

Been fishing a lot lately.

Heres a few pics of the fish I have gotten:
IMG_1170.JPG A native Brooke Trout I had caught a few weeks ago. She was about 13" long.
IMG_1253.JPG A Rainbow Trout, 12" long
IMG_1254.JPG A 14" Brown Trout on my stringer.
IMG_1255.JPG 3 Brown Trout, 14", 15" and a 13". Caught another that was 12".
