So you see, my 20L tank is setup and cycled and is a snail-only very sparsely planted, but when i say snail-only, perhaps i should say CHOCK full of snails, which is fine by me, i think pond snails are fine pets all in their own. well, last night i decided to find out just how many snails i wasnt seeing, so i blanched a rather large piece of lettuce, and anchored it to the bottom of the tank. i woke up this morning and turned the light on,expecting to see a piece of lettuce covered in a huge wad of snails.. oh boy was i wrong! i looked in and lo and behold, the entire piece of lettuce was GONE! and the snails since dispersed. so much for that plan.. :duh:
