hopefully this will work. this is my new 75 gal fake planted setup. there are a few real plants but mostly fake. all community fish and sand substrate.

sorry about the "headlight" look. i don't know how to turn my flash off...

thank you very much. i will post more pics soon. i need to figure out how to turn the flash off on my camera first. i have about 19 neon tetras in there that look awesome at feeding time. it's just a blur of blue and red swimming around! there are platys, mollies, cories, dwarf gouramis, lemon tetras, black skirt tetras, some little pink stripe fish (don't remember the name), redtail tetras and a few mystery snails. i've also seen some mts in there that must have hitchhiked. as algae starts to grow, i would like a few plecos. it's still relatively new though. i need to get some driftwood next.

I'm not a fan of fake plants, but you did a beautiful job with the decorating in your tank!:omg:

Please feel free to share more pictures. :grinyes:

Very nice!

thank you guys. i'm not really a fan of fake plants either, but i thought i'd first get the fish established, then work in real plants. as i add a real one, i'll remove a fake one. i've never had any luck with real ones so i'm easing in to it. i did pick fake plants that looked more realistic than the run of the mill plastic ones though. most of mine are silk or really soft rubber like (read not cheap!), so they all move more realistically. i would like to get it all real planted eventually though. the few real ones i have now will help me learn about lighting and food for them. if they grow, i'm doing something right. if not, i've got some reading to do.

Nice looking tank....

Have you considered using a black background? It would really make everything stand out alot more.... but this is just my opinion ;)

I agree with irishspy... I normally don't like the look of fake plants, but that looks great! What is the stocking?

there are: (1) albino cory, (1) emerald cory, (1) spotted cory, (about 20) neon tetras, (3) black mollies, (1) silver sailfin molly, (2) gold vail tail mollies, (12) various platys, (2) lemon tetras, (4) black skirt tetras, (2) dwarf honey gouramis, (2) serpae tetras and (2) tetras that i don't know (they have a blue stripe on their back sort of like a neon), and three mystery snails (3 more coming). i'm done stocking now. i believe i'm about at the maximum capacity for a 75 gal. i don't think i'll replace any that may die on me. i'll just let the aquarium tell me what it likes. so far, i've only lost one swordtail due to him getting caught on my filter intake. i've probably missed a few fish too, they won't hold still long enough to let me look and count. oh....there are (2) white fish with pink stripes
