Hey every one

This is my problem i have 2 emerald crabs want to give both to a friend i have a good amount of live rock in my 10 gallon tank, i can not get theses guys for the life of me is there any easy way to get them maybe make some sort of trap???

I've read several places online in the past that a small glass jar or even a small glass set at an angle leaning up against the rockwork where you think they are living works well. Place some food in the bottom of the glass and leave it overnight, since they'll be most active at night. The angle (vs it laying flat on the sand) makes it so the crabs can't climb back out. I've never used it myself, but it's simple, inexpensive and seems to make sense. Seems like it's worth trying...

If you have any kind of shrimp, this may not work so well, as the shrimp will likely go into the glass, get the food, and swim back out.

its easy just take the live rock out :).. everytime I move out liverock to clean up around them, hes on one of them and jumps off.. never fails.. and what size tank are they going to.. because I mean I only have 1 in my 15g and I know he will probably outgrow it.. but my guy at the store will take it back and give me a new one if it happens.. (he takes anything that comes out my tank and throws it in his.. nice guy lol)

im going to try the jar he was on the live rock so i took it out and he went into a crack...lol

there both going from a 10 gallon to A 75

I got mine by fishing. I throw some Nori in a clip and tied it to fishing line. He/She grabbed it long enough for me to scoop it into a net.

Mine became a nasty hunter! Attacking anything that came near it, so when it clamped on to the nori it was too greedy to let go! Back to the fish store!

Easy stuff here =) hold rock over water...have it just above the water line...he will eventually dive into the water...

OR give your friend the rock =p with crab inside.
