Trying to find a certain filter media

I really like that fluval chi tank. I was looking at one of those on the petco website. I was looking for something I could keep at my cubicle at work that I wouldnt have to worry about spilling or getting contaminated by the cleaning crew at night. My cubicle isnt very big, so I will probably just scrap the entire idea. I definitely believe in quality of life for all animals and I wouldnt willingly do anything that I thought was going to make them unhappy. I'll just stick with my water fountains and bamboo plants :)

even a simple 5 gallon would work.. or if you want somthing smaller, try a 2.5 gallon bowfront with a single betta and a few shrimps. you can tale off the edges and any areas that are open, so the maintance guy doesnt contaminate your tank. there are endless possiabliys.

Why not try a plant only aquarium? Or you could try plants and MTS, Malaysian trumpet snails are quite insensitive to pollution since they can close themselves up tightly if need be. Aerosol sprays or whatever you might be worried about probably won't be much of a problem, these are snails people have left outside with sand that's been taken out of use, and still found weeks later...so they are remarkably hardy.

I don't think the Eco Spheres are cruel, just a huge rip off...but people can spend their money however they please!
