it says SECOND NATURE WHISPER POWER FILTER with a BIG 2 on the cover the impeller is six blades and is a bit bigger than the impeller for my aquaclear 50!!

i have it soaking in water and a touch of vinegar to remove tones of salt so tomorrow i will have pictures of it.....

Try thatfishplace.com. They have all sorts of filter parts in stock and they have these. Including Whisper stuff. It is a Whisper 2. I think 2 & 3 are basically the same. They are the old style. The new ones are TETRA 20, 30, 40 and I believe 60. Just a different plastic (black instead of clear). I think even those are getting phased out. For the style of filter they are you cant go wrong. They last forever. Or at least until the plastic gets old and cracks on you.

OF ALL THE PLACES ebay answered my question LOL

@ PhaidOut
i dont think this thing has been used for YEARS so i went out to the wash room where its soaking and decided to set it up to see how much it flows...

at first it didnt work so i took off the intake tube and saw the impeller wasn't spinning after further inspection of the impeller i saw that the magnet was spinning freely so i use a drop of crazy glue to glue the base of the blabe back to the magnet and WALLA it works and flows GREAT!!!!

but this brings up a question will that drop of crazy glue affect my fish when i put in it opertation?

It shouldn't, many use crazy glue in tanks (especially reefers) and if it is safe enough to use with delicate corals then I would think it would be safe for freshwater. Also some use it to attach plants to driftwood in planted tanks so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

ok thanks every one for the help and the info :bowing:

have a good night

MODS this can be deleted now if so pleased
