they still school with other cories that aren't the exact same as them, but i have heard that they school tighter and stuff when they are all the same type of cory

They will school more if they are the same species. I have one lonely Panda Cory with a group of Abiacus and he is tolerated by the others but not really one of the guys.

Those Apistos seem to like each other. I assume you have soft water so maybe they will breed for you.
