Turning the lights out.

I have some algae starting to grow on some of my plants and was thinking about doing a big water change and turning the lights out.

How long could I keep them off without killing my plants off?

We have had to do the "3 day blackout" before - and it does work.

2 catfish, 1 pleco and me slacking on water changes. I'm taking some hard classes this semester and I'm still working....but I'm trying to keep up.

Did it kill any of your plants?
