so I already had a few babies from the last to guppy births. both the last two births were low counts but both mom were young and small as well.
well i pulled last a large momma out of the main tank and put her in the birthing tank last night. poor thing was so engorged she had shallow and rapid breathing, i felt so sorry for her. well I woke up this morning and noticed she was no longer pregnant and looked aroud, so far i am up to 20 babies from her. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
so it's feeding 4 times a day soon. They came up to the surface tonight and are bihind my homedade filter. i made the filter specifically with babies in mind. they can hide att he surface of the tank behind the filter and i have a mirror there so i can monitor themm and not scare them.
This tank also is acting as a hospital tank for a rather picked on gourami who likes to hide behind the filter but at the wider more open bottom.
I'm hoping that that the gourami doesn't bother the babies at all. she seems mellow though and i've kept her well fed today too.
