neons, dwarf puffers, endlers, cardinals, pygmy corydoras, platies
(not all at the same time though)
keep in mind that because biorbs dont have alot of space or effiecient filtration, the stock is limited.
8 Gallons should be sufficient to put a few fancy tailed guppies, a Beta and some shrimp & snails, or you could get a male and female dwarf gourami, maybe even 5-6 white clouds, tetras or rasporas, they would probably do nicely as well.

they look nice and don't take up much bioload (i.e. don't produce much waste) in your tank. in a tank with larger surface area they could have a role disturbing the gravel which allows oxygen in there and prevents build up of harmful bacteria (anaerobic, as opposed to the good guys - aerobic - bacteria).
I am not talking about putting all of these into the bio orb, but taking one of these groups of fish and placing them in it.... here are the suggestions, just to clarify:
1. 3-4 fancy tailed guppies and 3-4 Ghost Shrimp
2. Male Beta and 5-6 Ghost Shrimp and a few snails
3. A pair of Dwarf Gouramis (one male, one female... the females are more silver colored, very plain next to the males)
4. Small school of 6 fish, either:
A. Tetras (neons, cardinals, glow lights etc.)
B. Rasporas
C. White Clouds
D. Cherry Barbs etc...
