I think I tried malwarebytes earlier. And it failed one way or another.
Just tried it again and it worked.
Had something like 22 more places that the same trojan showed up. Plus 4 more of an HOD(?) trojan.
Quarintined omost of them. And said some would be removed when rebooted.
I rebooted.
Ran it again. And found 1 this time. Deleted it.
Looked at task mngr. And it was really quiet. 99% cpu Idle. and didn't see the other 1% anywhere.
For the past 3 days taskmgr.exe was bouncing from 8% to 20% at any given time.
I tried the restart / F8 again. Still won't work. Comp just stops doing anything.
Ran malwarebytes again, and found nothing. : )
Maybe it's all gone now? : )

All of that, and when it fails. They could care less about trying to help.

And yea, I pretty much ran my Updates once a day.
Scanned for spyware once a day, right after checking for updates. And would run the Virus scan at least once a week.
I could have mentioned firewall somewhere up there. Sry, was probably just my short hand for Firewall/ spyware/ virus /etc. program.
should and is is two different things.... i use f secure only its a virus scan and firewall program. ask for your money back since it didnt keep you from getting something..... besides that program i dont think is ever meant to really replace a virus scan.
