UGF + plants

I have had success with UGF on all my tanks. I don't use them exclusivly as a filter for the tank. But combine with a canister or HOB. I also use powerheads on the UGF and have then timed to run 15 minutes approx 2 - 3 times a day. This allows the gravel to do it's thing for the plant roots. One last thing. I put the weed cloth for gardens over my UGF plate so it doesn't get roots and other crap in there.

Yep...works all the time for me, even in RUGF mode.
