Since you asked for tips or advice, I would:
1) get a liquid test kit (API is a good one) and watch your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. A 5-in1 test won't have ammonia on it and those dip tests aren't that accurate
2) Watch those fish for signs of disease or infection, this is essentially a quarantine tank with your first batch of fish going right in and its impossible to know what they could have. Even if they came from the best LFS in the world, they could have something. You should know in about two weeks if they're healthy and I wouldn't add anything else until then if it were me
3) Have a plan for what to do with them when you're done cycling
For what its worth, in the future if you're seeding from an established and healthy tank you won't need to do a fish in cycle and would likely be able to add the fish you want faster.
