I have black skirt tetra that are being attacked (i assume) havent actually seen it happen but they have ragged fins (one is missing his dorsal fin compleatly) i have 3 tanks so maybe i can move some around (ill have to wait 3 more days as im treating for ich in one

ok here are the stats
55 gal
10 black skirt tetras
3 opalin guaramis
2 paradise guaramis (the culprits i believe)
1 pleco
5 otto cats
1 clown loach (lost 2 to ich )

35 gal
10 tiger barbs
1 guarami
5 neons
1 upside down cat
1 cae
3 plattys
4 guppies
1 black molly
1 otto cat

10 gal
1 commet goldfish ( i have a pond nearby that i can move him to i know the 10 gal isnt enough for him hes about 2 inch )

also i dont seem to be haveing the probs most have with ottos. I have bought six and all six are alive 2 months later

please advise what moves I can make and keep everyone happy
if it cant be done with this set up im looking at a 130 gal in near future
thanks in advance

It probably is the paradise--they can be nasty tempered little buggers. Do you have a pair? I'd setup a 10 just for them, add one more female to reduce stress on the existing girl. It would be easier in the long run, but own't work if you currenlty have 2 males. If that's the case, I move them to their own 5's or 10's. Sorry, but you really aren't going to be able to do much else--too many midwater fish to fit in the 55, and IME, cranky paradise will continue to kill until they're all that's left. I ended up with a 55 that had one black paradise, and then a bunch of bottom dwellers. I didn't mind, but most people don't want a tank that looks empty.

I could move my goldfish to a pond and use the 10 gal for the paridise pair
1 male 1 female but was going to use the ten gal as a hospital tank

would it be possible to switch the tiger bards and the tetras ? the barbs seem a bit faster and should be able to get away better

or i could return the paradise
?

thanks

Take the paradise fish back

if i have no other choice i will take them back
would they go ok in the 35 gal ?
ive seen them in lfs with tiger barbs but what about the guppies ?

thanks
