My mollies had babies, and i want to set a tank up for them. I have the tank and lights, heater. I dont have a regular HOB filter. I have what i think is a UGF, but just the things that go under the gravel. What else do i need? I have two air pumps? Can I just put two air stones under the UGF?

airstones aren't the ideal way to run one IMO, but UGF in any form is an excellent filter format and with some info you should be able to set it and maintain it well enough. It is IMO one of the better fry filters because of the low current it creates. Here is one of the best articles I have found. Normal UGF's are slightly harder to maintain than the same filter in revers flow, but IMO not as hard as most people try to make you believe.

I would tend to think the easiest thing would be to keep the tank bare bottom and use the two airstones in two small corner filters with floss and some bio-media or sponge filters.

What are corner filters? Are you saying to use two filters and air stones or are corner filters run by the air stones?

basically they are a box that holds floss (or other media). the airstone run them via a lift tube, very similar to tradiyional ugf and sponge filters. all are good formats for fry.

i wanna get a 20 gal this summer, and i want a 20 gal with an UGF and a power filter. the kind i saw was a regular glass tank, but just taller than a 10 gal. i wanna have brown+white pebbles as substrate. that way, if my livebeares breed, ill be able to see them. 12 fish, 6 fry. (3 half a cm, 3 quarter a cm)

Can you use a powerhead with an undergravel filter and if so how? Could someone explain how to set it up with a powerhead?
Thanks

Im at work, so this is the best pic I could find on my website with the powerheads sitting a atop the uplift tubes. They suck water up the tube and expel it out a nozzel. Mine are in the far corners of the tank, one on each side.
