I was looking around my tank last night with a small LED light and got an idea that is probably not original... I have a bubblestrip that runs the length of the back wall of my 12g (10g tall) tank. Has anyone ever come across a strip of LEDS that I could shine as uplights through the bubble wall? They would have to be submersible, of course. I've seen some of the single spotlights and even the one that makes bubbles, but not a strip. Is this something I could make? I'm fine with the electronics part, just not the waterproof part!! Thanks!

LED lights

I just bought some on ebay. They have some blue LEDs and white with a two way switch. They look great!

I got my reversible powerheads in! The water is a little cloudy so I guess that I will do a water change tomorrow. I also got my new LED lights. They come with white lights and blue ones for nightime.

Pretty cool, it will look better when the water clears. My poor fish must think I am nuts.

Jackiomi,
Are those submersible? I'm definately looking for some kind of uplights to go at the bottom of the tank where the bubble strip is located.

1oooop,
Could you please explain to me the how you enclosed your LEDs with the acrylic? I wasn't able to quite catch that part in your other post. Thanks!

Yes, Totally submersible! I have it mounted with suction cups just under the water line. I love the two way switch. I usually have it on moon light most of the night so I can watch my clown loaches play in the powerhead stream.
