I really like fiddler crabs. However dont want to change tank to have land.

Is there a way to have a structure underwater that has air in it. Where the crab can climb in and have access to land but then climb out and explore the tank. Get it?

I'm sure there is...Can't say the crabs would use it or not....if they can find it to begin with. You'd have to feed an airstone inside it to supply fresh air, however.

Pretty much the same as a diving bell. Pump enough air into something solid (like the jar idea) and the air forces the water out. But the air makes the jar want to float and tip over. So you have to secure it. Plus as was mentioned the crabs may not wish to get into it. And finally you have to watch out as many crabs will eat any fish they can catch.

Crabs are best suited to a separate fish tank that is part water part land (a palludarium).
