I have a black angel and a marble angel. They have been laying eggs for a few years and they always ate them before they turned into wigglers.

Today I noticed they were turning into wigglers. It seemed to me the mom (black one) was getting nervous trying to fend off dad and the blue Gouromi (spelling?) and was eating them.

So I pulled the heater they were on and put them in an empty 10 gallon.

The white eggs (unfertized?) have lots of fungus on the and are mixed in with the wigglers.

Also the rubber holders have wigglers on them with no white eggs or fungus and they are separated on the other side of the tank from the wigglers with fungas.

For the life of my I cant find Methylene blue at any local pet stores.

I did treat the 10 gal with hydrogen peroxide - a cap ful

its a clean un cycled 10 gal tank and I know I have to do huge water changes until I get a sponge filter -

when they are big enough I would put them in a breeding tank and back into the 55 gal. Is that ok?

in all -- looks like there are between 20-30 wigglers.

I'd like to save them and raise them healthy.

Suggestions? Advice?

Thanks -

Paul

and sorry - this was just unexpected - but I figure - hey - its kinda fun and cool that after 2 years they finally made it to wigglers :dance2:

well - the wigglers are still going strong -

I did a water change

and brime shirmp eggs are brewing under a light - salt - and aeration -

(shrugs)

soo...... ummmmmm..... yeah

Cool, do you have any pics?

no pics yet - camera doesnt seem to take good ones that you can see clear and close

lost a few wigglers to some white fungus

I suppose there are about 20 or so alive

I have all kinds of baby brine shrimp - so I hope they free swim soon soon - but I been hatching a new batch every 24 hours so they'll always be "fresh"

The wigglers are now in a glass jar after I carefully separated them from fungus. I also change to clean water every 4 hours or so with a turkey baster and tank water from a cycled tank trying to do it gently as not to create stress

Kinda flying at the seat of my pants here - and reading on the internet what to do

so......hmmm

I wish i could give you some helpful advice here, but i dont know where to begin. But i wish you the best of luck!
