I bought this fish a few weeks ago, and I don't remember it's name. At first I though it was a gourami, but now I'm not so sure. I've been searching for Cichlid images, and I think it is a younger Mayan Cichlid. I have two in a 20 gallon tank, could someone tell me what fish it is and should I up-size the tank?

I have more images if this one is too blurry. Thanks.

Are the fish you metioned territorial? One of the fish tries to keep the other fish away from the front of the tank.

It is a paradise fish, thanks for your help.

If its a blue paradise fish, a pair will be ok in a 20 gallon. But males will tend to be a little territorial, which is likely, due that females are very dull and harder to find in the trade.

Here's another picture, so you can confirm it, or disagree.

There is not question whatsoever...even from the first pic...that's a paradise fish. If you have 2 males, they can be rather nasty with each other, especially when they hit adulthood.

Personality-wise, they're more like cichlids than what most think of as gouramis.
