GA i hate taking my guitar on a plane!!!! I had a brand new 200$ hard shell case i bought for my brand new fender. I GATE checked it and it still came out banged and bruised

Pelican cases are awesome. dont know why everyone doesnt uses them to haul sensitive stuff around

Reminds me of my band "trip" a few years back. When we boarded our connecting flight to ATL we could see them putting the instruments underneath. At one point about 50 or so instruments started falling off the conveyor belt and landed on the tarmac...

They throw everything around. Just last month I had a seat just behind the wing and watched the bag tossers (I don't call them handlers) laughing making a game out of who could toss the bags furthest. They even threw some computer boxes in such a way that they intentionally rolled around.
They were throwing all of the band's instruments...I believe the taylor acoustic is the one that was broken.
THe full story on his website says the lady behind them saw them throw all their instruments. They only saw them throw the bass, but they threw the Taylor before that and dropped it. The case looked intact so they thought it was ok till they opened it for soundcheck.
