Unknown Angelfish disease please help!

To me, it looks like an injury that has fungus in it. Might try methylene blue in a separate tank. I have had mixed results with it.

I had a goldfish with this problem...never knew what it was...hasnt died yet and acting normaly...it got a whole lot smaller too

I have done my best to get some close up pics which wasnt working, but got some of the holes on both sides of her head which i think shows a bit more clearly where its at now.

also i have treated my tank with an antifungal treatment a week prior to her getting the pimples and since she has had them, it didnt work.

whoa nice pics... wow, is the fish acting normally or does it seem in pain?

Wow!
Never encounrtered such deep open flesh from what was to be pimple. Perhap it was puss that was forming due to infection???

I believe with such deep open flesh, an ointment treatment may render best result rather than dosing the whole tank.

What kind of antibacterial ointment do you have at home? I meant for yourself, if any.

You mentioned holes around or on the head. Are there more similar but smaller holes on forehead?

From looking at thes pics, it seems that dorsal area seems very thin, unusually thin.
Is it just my eyes?

Yeah shes acting the same as normal, eating well, picking on her mate, and swimming around.. pretty nasty wounds huh she has had them three weeks now...

as for creams i dont think i have any, also how do u put ointment on a fish? ill do anything for this fish ive spent $50 on treatments already but none seem to have cleared it up.

there are no other holes just the ones on either side of her, in the same place, and now that you mention about her dorsal area it it looking a bit skinnier then usual especially compared to her mate. ill see if i can find some older pics of her just to compare

$50? Wow! That's a lot for fish meds, at least from my perspective.

I catch tropical s/w fish locally during summer. As my children catches them with nets or diy contraptions and sometimes with their hands, fish can receive minor cuts and scratches. I have very very high success with Bacitracin Ointment which I saved after expiration date to be used on fish. I dont know why but Bacitracin worked better than Neosporin on the fish.
Just simple smear on the open flesh is enough as any extra will just fall off becoming added pollutants to tank..

Somehow, I cant open you vid.

Perhap it is my imagination but loss of weight due to bloated belly. Maybe she is not ready to spawn, rather infested with worms. I dont mean to alarm you but fish seems very thin on dorsal area, imo.

yeah its alot, things in NZ are super expensive now.. when i had my first fish tank i remember paying $2 for each angel fish and $4 for a bristlenose, that being 5 or so years ago, i paid $15 for each angel this time and bout $15 for the bristlenoses, prices are going up up and up!! as for meds i bought a small bottle of pimafix that cost me $20 and furan-2 cost me $30 that is NZD..

so to apply the cream do i take her out of the water in a net and try get her like that or do i keep her in the water in a net? gosh im scared! i wish you could come do it for me! lol

as for my vid not working im not sure why, maybe search my username and see if you can find it that way 88maddiem88

oh as for spawning prior to her wounds they lay eggs every week or two..
