Alright I have a 10 gallon that had only Java moss in it up until last night. I bought 4 red cherry shrimp and the guy at the fish store included a peice of anrcharis in the bag with them so they had something to cling to. I was just looking at it adn noticed a batch of eggs. They are small white dots bounded together in a gel like sack that is sticking to a leaf of the anarcharis. There are about 30-50 eggs. He took the piece of anarcharis out of a preformed pond liner that was fileld with anarcharis(it was inside not outside) Any ideas what they might be? Snails, fish? I thought the shrimp carried there eggs with them.

Sounds like snail eggs to me.

Yep, definitely sounds like snail eggs. You can keep it if you want snails, but once you have them they can be hard to get rid of (I completely stripped down my tank to try and get rid of them and I am STILL picking a couple out a week!) You can also just throw them out.

If you want, you can raise them in a separate tank, like a 2 1/2 gallon, so they dont infest your main tank. That way if you get a fish of two that eats snails you already have a good supply of them.

Just some ideas.
